The Funyos made rain or shine in Nogaro!

More than 40,000 spectators came to admire the Sprint CUP by Funyo grid during the FFSA French Truck Championship at the Nogaro – Paul Armagnac circuit!

With unpredictable weather, the Sprint CUP by Funyo championship was the setting for four intense races, providing an unforgettable spectacle despite the changing weather conditions. Indeed, rain and bursts of sunshine marked this memorable weekend.

The weekend started strong with Xavier Fouineau (#24 HMC Racing) and Romain Boeckler (#2 Loire Valley Racing) sharing the two pole positions. Romain Boeckler then won the first race, showing impeccable mastery despite the wet conditions. The second race saw victory for Hugo Rouèche (#96 L’Écurie Française), while Xavier Fouineau shone by winning the last two races, confirming his status as the leader.

Nicolas Robin (#69 DAFA Racing) secured a superb third place, adding another solid performance to his record. Sacha Clavadetscher (#95 L’Écurie Française) and Léo Borlovan (#216 Abas Timisoara) each enjoyed the thrill of the podium for the first time, showcasing their potential.In the Challengers category, the Robin brothers, Nicolas and Jean-Christophe, showcased their talent by sharing the top spots with Dekel Samuel Naar (#49 Loire Valley Racing). Edoardo Elia (#33 L’Écurie Française) experienced an unforgettable moment by reaching the podium for the very first time, marking a turning point in his young career. Fabien Bornancin (#99 Kairos Racing) continues to make progress.

The Espoirs category was the scene of fierce battles. Hugo Rouèche, Léo Borlovan, and Romain Boeckler shared the victories, delivering races of exceptional intensity. Jérémy Siffert (#54 HMC Racing) remained consistent, always well-placed in the championship standings, just like Sacha Clavadetscher. We applaud the boldness of Sean Canivet (#7 L’Écurie Française), who wasn't rewarded for his daring tire choice in difficult conditions.

In the Gentlemen category, Cédric Gardin (#14 HMC Racing) extended his lead with two new victories, consolidating his position at the top. Pascal Lecomte (#55 Loire Valley Racing) opened his account with a well-deserved victory, while Jean-Claude Rolland (#28 HMC Racing) also tasted victory on the highest step of the podium. The battle for the podium spots was intense between the returning Olivier Gauclère (#23 HMC Racing) and Rémy Brouard (#78 HMC Racing), both of whom delivered remarkable performances.

Notably, Chris Copeland (#201 HMC Racing), who made his debut in the Sprint CUP by Funyo this weekend, adapted well by keeping pace behind his teammates to gain valuable experience.

The Sprint CUP by Funyo continues its tour with the next stop in Dijon Prenois, from July 5 to 7. As we enter the second half of the championship, the drivers are more determined than ever to fight for the title. Familiar faces from the Funyo paddock will make their return for this occasion!
