The Sprint CUP by Funyo returns to the Dijon-Prenois circuit for a weekend of competition from July 5 to 7. The drivers are ready to do battle on this legendary track, marking the second half of the 2024 season.
The battle for supremacy continues in the general category. Xavier Fouineau (#24 HMC Racing) will attempt to confirm his fine performance at Nogaro. Young Swiss drivers Jérémy Siffert (#54 HMC Racing) and Hugo Rouèche (#96 L'Écurie Française), as well as brothers Robin, Nicolas and Jean-Christophe (#69 and #277 Dafa Racing), will also be in Dijon in search of points and a place on the top step of the podium.
Cédric Gardin (#14 HMC Racing) maintains his lead in the Gentlemen's category. Pascal Lecomte (#55 Loire Valley Racing) and Jean-Claude Rolland (#28 HMC Racing), respectively 2nd and 3rd in the standings, are closely followed by Rémy Brouard (#78 HMC Racing), who intends to return to the top 3 in this hotly contested category. At this year's Dijon meeting, Livio Elia will be on his own in the Écurie Française team's #73 Funyo SP05. Olivier Gauclère (#23 HMC Racing), who made his comeback at Nogaro, is aiming to score maximum points this weekend. Funyo founder Yves Orhant (#35 Team YO) is back with a bang on the Burgundy track. The youngest member of the class, Sébastien Viale (#30 HMC Racing), returns to his first love of sprinting after several seasons in the Endurance CUP by Funyo, and will be playing the role of luxury referee in the Gentlemen's category.
Jean-Christophe Robin (#277 Dafa Racing) currently dominates the Challengers category, followed by Israeli Dekel Samuel Naar (#49 Loire Valley Racing). Nicolas Robin (#69 Dafa Racing) closes the podium in 3rd place. Edoardo Elia (#33 L'Écurie Française), who will be driving alone for the occasion, will be looking to repeat his good results from the previous meeting in Nogaro. David Braunstein (#99 Kairos Racing) replaces Fabien Bornancin for this weekend, and will seize every opportunity on a track he knows well.
Jérémy Siffert (#54 HMC Racing) is the leader of the Espoirs category. The 3 Écurie Française team drivers: Hugo Rouèche (#96), Sacha Clavadetscher (#95) and Sean Canivet (#7) follow each other in the standings, and will be looking for consistency to keep them in the title hunt. Romain Boeckler (#2 Loire Valley RAcing) is aiming for nothing less than victory. Young Romanian Léo Borlovan (#216 Abas Timisoara) will be out to prove what he's capable of on the circuit so popular with Funyo drivers.
